    BCBA Folks, I opened my hive today for the 1st time in a little over a week. I saw this on the top of the frame on the bottom box. Should I be alarmed?  Any info and advice is really appreciated.

    By the way, it was the only one. No sign of anything else like this.

    Renee,

    Sorry I just saw the picture.  This is looks like a drone pupa that may have been in comb between frames.  When you removed the frame it likely exposed the pupa.  This is totally normal - nothing to worry about.  The bees will remove that drone.
