Master Beekeeper Grant Opportunity for BCBA Members

The BCBA Board is pleased to announce that two (2) $350 Grants have been created and approved by the Board for BCBA Club Members to enroll in the Cornell Master Beekeeper Program.

This grant opportunity is open to all BCBA members in good standing who have completed the Beginner and Intermediate Course (or its equivalent) or have 5 years minimum beekeeping experience.

This program is a great opportunity and all members who qualify and are interested are encouraged to apply.

Normally, the Cornell program costs $899 but with the Club discount and BCBA funds of $350, the recipients will only pay $249 for the entire Cornell Master Beekeeper Certification Program.

In return, the grant recipients will be asked to give back 40-50 hours of volunteer time to BCBA to directly support our members.  For example, volunteering may include: answering questions on the Bee Banter, assisting the Queen Rearing Program, helping with class hives, assisting members with their hive inspections for a small donation (to fund future grants) back to the club.

The Cornell Program is virtual.  For more information on the Cornell Master Beekeeper Certificate Program please go to: https://ecornell.cornell.edu/certificates/beekeeping/master-beekeeping/
