Hi, I have 2 frames of capped honey from last year. I want to feed my hives. Can I lay one frame on it's side on top of each of my frames in each hive rather than inserting it as usual into the hive? I have a spacer shim that would allow the feeding frames to rest on their side and the top will still fit on tightly. Or will this cause an issue? thanks!

I think this would be alright.  As they bees uncap the downward facing cells- the frames could drip but I think the bees can manage that.
