Hi everyone- one of my hives has a bunch of dead bees behind it.  The back entrance also has runny poo down the back.  Does this look like nosema or just regular bee poop?  It’s been so cold and they haven’t been able to fly and relieve themselves, so if it weren’t for all the dead bees, I wouldn’t be as concerned.

if it does look like nosema, is there a way to treat in the winter?  Should I try to clean the skid marks?

Messy, but I would wait before going into your hive.  This snowy winter will be over soon and the bees should get back to their schedule. Let me know how it works out when it warms up.
